Ranthambore Tiger Tours, Trips & Safari Packages
Ranthambore National Park offers an alluring mix of history and nature. Bengal tigers are the star attraction here, and there’s a relatively high possibility of spotting some on your Ranthambore tour, although sightings are never guaranteed. However, there’s plenty of other wildlife to see, including leopards, sloth bears, langur monkeys, sambar deer, hyenas, river crocodiles, butterflies, and over 300 species of birds, as well as some equally impressive flora.
The park is named for the magical 10th-century Ranthambore Fort, one of the most important structures in Rajasthan. It sits upon a hilltop perch and from a distance appears to be growing out of the rock. The ramparts stretch for five miles, complete with seven enormous still-intact gateways, containing three ancient Hindu temples and a Jain temple. In 2013, the fort was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so be sure to include a cultural excursion on your Ranthambore safari package.
