Overview
Perched gracefully above the Última Esperanza Sound, just moments away from Puerto Natales, Hotel Remota Patagonia is an architectural gem that seamlessly integrates with the breathtaking Patagonian landscape and draws inspiration from the region’s traditional estancia sheep sheds and pre-Inca art.
Designed by award-winning architect Germán del Sol, the lodge is a captivating blend of tradition and ecological design, whose every detail—from its wood paneled exterior and sustainable eco-roof, to its floor-to-ceiling windows and open plan interior with chic indoor campfires that waft around wood smoke—has been carefully considered to maximize your connection with the magnificent natural surroundings.
Elegant Rooms
Hotel Remota’s bedrooms similarly boast wall-to-wall panoramic windows that invite natural light and offer captivating views. Lenga wood accents create an atmosphere that brings the forest indoors. Each of the 72 rooms is generously sized at 33 square meters, with flexible bed configurations, including double, twin, or triple options for families.
Ensuite bathrooms boast spacious bathtubs with granite tiles and invigorating overhead showers. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, along with a hairdryer and laundry service. While Wi-Fi is available in the rooms, the signal may be intermittent at times.
Culinary Excellence
Hotel Remota’s cuisine is simply divine. The à la carte menu showcases creative, gourmet dishes inspired by the region, emphasizing locally sourced ingredients to create delicate, well-balanced flavors. From guanaco carpaccio to grilled grouper on creamy polenta, the menu offers a range of imaginative options. Vegetarian choices abound, and the chef gladly accommodates dietary preferences.
Breakfast presents a delightful buffet of savory and sweet treats, while the bar offers a tempting array of cocktails and wines. The bartender is your guide to local libations, crafting the perfect cocktail to suit your tastes, whether it’s the classic Pisco Sour or a personalized variation.
