Overview
Nataraja Liveaboard is a traditional, 105-foot, wooden phinisi schooner, specializing in charter cruises through the stunning scenery and graceful underwater life of the Indonesian Archipelago. Built by the craftsmen of South Sulawesi and meeting the highest industry standards, she is designed to comfortably accommodate six adults and up to three children for land and sea adventure cruises with scuba diving as an option.
Life On Board
Nataraja provides three comfortable air-conditioned cabins, each with a private bathroom with a hot water shower. The Aft Cabin in the stern offers a private terrace with access to the swimming platform, and two large windows presenting a splendid view at all times. It has one large bed and two small ones—ideal if you are traveling with family—as well as a bench and a desk. The front cabin has a double bed and an additional single bed for triple occupancy which can be convertible into a sofa. The midship stateroom also features a double bed, but slightly narrower (160 x 200 vs 180 x 200) than the other cabins.
Characterized by tropical hardwood throughout the interior, and an expansive open concept living area with glorious views in all directions from the lounging spots, Nataraja boasts a a spacious open deck area, featuring a large dining table for al-fresco dining, with a canopy that can be quickly setup for shade. In keeping with the spice-trader tradition, there is a cargo hatch-styled seating area with a skylight providing light to the saloon below.
There is also an open kitchen-galley, bar, and a lounge at the stern. Your healthy meals on board Nataraja are a mix of Western & Indonesian dishes, and you can also choose vegetarian and vegan options if pre-arranged at the time of booking. Special diets are also catered for upon request.
The rooftop sundeck offers restful options for yoga practice, sunbathing, relaxing, reading, sunset cocktails, and stargazing. Nataraja is also fully equipped for scuba diving with dive equipment, two compressors, weights and a line for freediving. You’ll also find snorkeling and fishing gear, sea kayaks, a speed boat, audio and video entertainment facilities, a library and a coffee machine.

The Nataraja boat is available for diving, snorkeling, yoga practice, wildlife encounters and bird-watching cruises, making it the perfect choice whatever your chosen activity. There are many options for itineraries that range from three nights to twenty nights and takes you to explore the incredible waters of Raja Ampat, of the most bio-diverse areas on earth with stops at Penemu, Kri, Misool and the Dampier Strait.
In the Komodo National Park, you can go trekking in search of Komodo dragons, snorkel or dive with giant manta rays and turtles, and visit the Pink Beach and the island of Padar. Or you can join one of the twice-yearly crossings of the Banda Sea between Raja Ampat and Ambon. Visit the Forgotten Islands and the Ring of Fire.

Komodo Strait
AM: Komodo Island lies in the middle of the straits between Sumbawa and the Flores Islands. The sea is funneled between the two islands, creating rich currents and coral reefs that we explore, such as Tatawa Besar, Batu Bolong and Golden Passage.
PM: At the end of a superb day’s sailing, surrounded by the colorful fish, we anchor safely in Gili Lawa Island Bay, famous for its views of the glowing sunset.
Manta point & Padar island
AM: Cruising south, we will stop at Taka Makassar aka Manta Point. In this lovely coral garden, you will swim or dive with mantas, sharks, turtles and many more. The nearby sand atoll with turquoise waters is the perfect spot for lunch and relaxation.
PM: From there we will leave for Padar Island with its dramatic landscape of sharp peaks and pink sand beaches. Those who don’t mind taking a few steps can take a short walk to see tremendous views.
Rinca Island
AM: In the morning we leave for the ranger station on Rinca Island from where a park ranger will talk to you about the legendary Komodo dragons.
PM: We can then refresh ourselves and swim or dive at Wainilu or Pengah Kecil. For a special moment at sunset, we will cruise to Kalong Island from where thousands of giant fruit bats fly above you in the light of the setting sun.
Disembarkation
AM: We will cruise back to Labuan Bajo for our last delicious breakfast and check-out before noon. After sharing photos and farewells, our crew will arrange your transfer to your hotel or airport, and on your return trip back home, your head will be filled with unforgettable memories of the cruise to Komodo trip of a lifetime.

Gili Lawa Island
AM: This group of two islands has three world-famous dive sites and shark hotspots to enjoy: Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and the Cauldron. For less adventurous snorkelers or divers, it also has beautiful hard coral reefs surrounded by white sand where manta rays are not a rare sight.
PM: Paddle boarding or kayaking in these turquoise water bays is a must before a well-deserved drink at sunset.
Banta, Batu Monco
AM: We will cruise to Banta Island just outside the National Park to explore very remote, well-hidden bays with white and pink sandy beaches surrounded by dry, steep slopes and peaks. You will rarely see another soul there, and only big shoals of fish patrol this island.
PM: Depending on the weather conditions, we can cruise to Batu Monco and its heavenly calm, turquoise water where snorkeling is easy and you can dive on pristine coral reefs surrounded by white sandy slopes.

PM: Cruise west towards Batu Lima translating to "Five Rocks". It's a perfect playground for snorkelers, full of fish in the shallow.
If you.re lucky, you can even spot a Wobbegong Shark laying just under the rocks at 2 meters deep!
Birds of Paradise, Papuan Villages
AM: An early wake up and a short hike would allow you to witness the mating ritual of rare endemic Red Birds of Paradise. After breakfast, get the chance to visit the picturesque Christian village of Arborek. Thirty minutes to walk the entire coastline of the island and witness the peacefulness and hospitality of the local people. The reef nearby fosters an exuberant marine life for a refreshing snorkel or dive bellow the jetty.
PM: Later that day, the boat will moor in the middle of the mangroves of Yanggefo where the lush green of the sea trees contrasts with crystal blue water. You can take a kayak to get lost in one of the many little canals they create while listening to concert of birds surrounding you, from white parrots to the endemic species of hornbill.
A dive in the mangrove is also a unique experience to witness the soft coral growth in the roots hosting juvenile species of fish.
Wayag, The Last Paradise on Earth
AM: On the way to the Wayag islands, we cross the equator to the Northern hemisphere to reach the last paradise on earth, a large bay with hundreds of mushroom-like islets, white sandy beaches, black tip reef sharks and manta rays cruising inn the turquoise-blue water.
There you will live the once in a lifetime experience of swimming with the local population of black tip sharks in 60cm shallow water.
PM: Later in the afternoon, you will get to climb Mount Pindito for a superb viewpoint, or just glide effortlessly above lush coral garden where the baby sharks and mantas find shelter.
Get you kayak and explore this labyrinth, a true wonder of nature.
The Dampier Starit Villages
AM: Visit Sauwandarek Jetty and experience some world-class diving, while probably being watched by of the local smiling children fro the Jetty.
You'll probably meet the giant turtles, Napoleons, barracudas, and many other schoolings fish around this coral garden just under the jetty.
PM: On the east side of the same island, you can hike up to an impressive viewpoint, literally dive into the highest measured underwater biodiversity on the planet inhabiting the nearby reefs and finally spend the sunset on one of the sandbanks.
Kali Biru & The Watterfalls
AM: In the early morning, you'll sail east to Mayalibit Bay. A short speedboat ride will take you through the lush Papuan jungle all the way to "Kali Biru", a natural spring where you can bathe in the crystal freshwater, surrounded by incredible nature of the bay, well protected by its local and dedicated community. You'll therefore enjoy a small waterfall hidden in the jungle with 3 different levels, the perfect and safe place to explore with kids.
PM: After this experience, you'll spend the rest of the afternoon on the island of Mioskon where it's not rare to see fruit bats flying at sunset.
Later the evening, you'll sail back to Sorong to arrive early morning.

AM: The Daram Islands are the easternmost island group in the Misool area. Thanks to a strict no-fishing policy, you will be able to see some of the most impressive sea fan forests and soft corals known to the world.
PM: With easy snorkeling and diving, sites such as Andiamo or Candy Store are truly psychedelic underwater wonderlands where barracudas gliding above the pygmy seahorses are a common sight.
Wayil
AM: Feel the love around you after climbing to get a bird’s eye view of the famous heart-shaped blue lagoon encircled by the vibrant coral reefs. Or take a speed boat tour or your kayak to get lost in the maze of rocks and channels of Wayil Islands.
PM: Here lie some of the most iconic and lush dive sites of Raja Ampat: Wedding Cake, Four Kings or Neptune’s Fantasea. End your day with your flashlight on to explore the dark side of the reef: night dive!
Balbulol, Farondi
AM: Misool North Eastern line of islands is a natural labyrinth made of cone-shaped rocks, sheer cliffs and hidden pools. At the right time of year, some of the inner lagoons play host to thousands of stingless jellyfish, offering fantastic photo opportunities for undersea photo lovers.
PM: Explore the above and underwater caves of the area where nudibranchs, rare mollusks and crustaceans crawl on the rich soft coral cover.
Piaynemo
AM: At this Western tip of Central Raja Ampat, 3 internationally renowned dive sites are on the menu: Galaxy, Keruo Channel and Melissa’s Garden, where you can observe the most impressive shallow coral gardens on the planet. In between dives, you can also enjoy surface activities like kayaking, or walk up to the top of the hill above the Star Lagoon and look down on its hundreds of limestone rocks.
PM: Some hidden rock-pools are just waiting for you to float in them – sheer heaven!
Wayag

PM: South East Misool is one of these extremely rare places where dreams and reality merge, with scenery as lush and dramatic above the water as below.
Wayil

PM: The Aljuy Bay waters are also perfect for seeing rare sea creatures and wonderfully rich night dives.
Wayag

AM: Continue your adventure with a day at Yanggefo and take the kayak out to the Mangroves for a change of scenery. The contrast of the lush green mangrove forest and the clear waters is breathtaking. This area is home to as many birds as fish.
PM: Colorful coral grows within the roots of the trees making snorkeling and diving in Citrus and Mangrove Ridge a unique experience.
