Overview
Spanning 108 feet, and offering privacy, comfort and style for up to six guests, Dewata is a luxury two-mast phinisi boat offering private charters, which provide an exclusive way to explore some of Indonesia’s most breathtaking regions on a customized journey, tailored to your desires. Dewata means ‘deities’, and as you serenely sail in the warm sea breeze to idyllic islands, you may well feel like you are cruising with the gods on a transcendental pilgrimage to paradise.
Life on Board
Dewata Yacht has three air conditioned cabins, making this an ideal choice for families with children or groups of friends. Unique amongst its cruise contemporaries, the boat features two above-deck “dual” master cabins, which, despite being mid-ship, offer sweeping sea views from large French windows which provide access to a shared private patio and swimming platform. If you wish to come with children, two extra guests, or your private staff, another cabin is available for them on the lower deck furnished with twin beds that convert to an Australian king size bed. Each of the three cabins has a fully outfitted ensuite bathroom.
Dewata was designed with comfort and convenience in mind. The main deck is the perfect place to sunbathe and watch the seascapes go by during the day, sip a glass of excellent wine or a delicious cocktail at sunset, or stargaze at night. Inside is a comfortable lounge and dining area and modern conveniences including a sound system, espresso machine, ice maker, movie projector and a photographers’ desk.
Crew and Facilities
There are nine crew members onboard the Dewata boat charter, which means there is always someone on hand to attend to your every need. The crew includes your cruise director, who will take you to the most amazing spots and cater your journey to your travelling style, and your own private chef who will create delicious Indonesian and Western meals.
The onboard dive guide can help new divers get their accredited diving certification and provide expert divers with Nitrox for longer bottom times. A masseuse is also available to soothe aching muscles after treks through rainforests, savannah grasslands to scenic viewing points, and up volcanoes. Scuba diving equipment and snorkeling gear is available on board, as well as a freediving buoy and line, two tender boats, two sea kayaks, standup paddle-board and yoga mats.
Destinations
The Indonesian archipelago offers more than 17,000 islands to enjoy, and each private cruise destination has its own specificities and seasonal patterns. March to October is the season for exploring the waters and landscapes of the magnificent Komodo National Park where you can see the famous Komodo dragons. If diving is your passion, then Raja Ampat will delight you.
This protected marine park is one of the most biologically diverse areas on the planet with over 1,500 uninhabited islands, extraordinary coral reefs and crystal clear waters teeming with marine life. Alternatively, the historical Banda Islands were once the world’s only source of nutmeg. Over the centuries, countless battles were fought here to gain control of the spice trade, and you can wander around the old forts and through the plantations. Best explored in October-November or April, the seas around the Banda Islands are home to some of the world’s richest and healthiest reefs, unspoiled corals, steep drop offs, and large pelagic fish.
Families or groups of friends will be sure to experience an unforgettable voyage, visiting some most spectacular locations in Eastern Indonesia, while trekking, wildlife spotting, birdwatching, diving, snorkeling, kayaking or paddleboarding through the magnificent scenery and waters of the archipelago.
Itineraries & Prices
All itineraries are subject to change due to seasonal weather conditions (and resultant variations in river and tributary water levels) affecting accessibility to locations. Thus navigation routes, times and excursions may need to be modified at the cruise captain’s or your guide's discretion.
