Halong Bay is one of the most famous regions in Vietnam, consisting of a series of amazing limestone islands, caves, isolated bays, pristine beaches and pretty inlets. Lan Ha is an extension of Halong Bay. The karst islands and limestone outcrops are every bit as beautiful as those of its neighbor but feel more isolated and untouched. Lan Ha also has the additional attraction of numerous white-sand beaches. Bai Tu Long Bay has a rich biodiversity with two ecosystems: a tropical, moist, evergreen rainforest ecosystem; and a marine and coastal ecosystem. The area has scarcely seen any tourist development.

Shore and water activities include kayaking and swimming, visits to floating villages, cooking demonstrations, squid fishing, visits to caves and a pearl farm. You can kayak through caves into stunning bays, take a guided kayaking tour in a karst tunnel, visit Cat Ba Island, tour the island by bicycle and meet villagers. Trek to a sightseeing point or cycle through the rainforest. Explore Sung Sot Cave, the largest cave inside Halong Bay with 12,000 square yards of space home to thousands of stalactites and stalagmites.
