Overview
Offering both small group and private charter cruises for up to 15 guests, Aliikai is a 131-foot wooden phinisi liveaboard built in South Sulawesi. This majestic vessel offers wonderful, customized adventures for couples and families seeking to explore Indonesia’s astonishing diversity of nature, wildlife, and scenery both above and below the water.
Life On Board
Aboard Aliikai, you will find seven generously sized cabins spread over three decks, a choice of indoor and outdoor living and dining areas, as well as a dive center with diving equipment, Nitrox, snorkeling gear, and a camera/photography station. The social hub of the boat is the spacious lounge, bar, and indoor dining area, which extends onto the main front deck offering alfresco dining.
There is also a vast 60-square-meter sky deck, which is the perfect spot for sunbathing or stargazing, a relaxation sundeck at the stern, and a dedicated ‘zen’ area on the roof designed for yoga practice and meditation. Other facilities include audio and video equipment, two kayaks, two standup paddle boards, a wakeboard, two speedboats, and some beach games.
From the kitchen galley, the on-board chef will keep you well-fed with delicious, freshly cooked local and Western dishes served buffet style in the dining area. You will also have the option of dining alfresco on the main deck against the glorious backdrop of islands and volcanoes. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated, and snacks and beverages are available all day long.
As a fitting tribute to Aliikai’s immersive cultural voyages, the vessel is tastefully adorned with carefully selected items collected from previous voyages and the region’s rich history.

All itineraries are subject to change due to seasonal weather conditions (and resultant variations in river and tributary water levels) affecting accessibility to locations. Thus navigation routes, times and excursions may need to be modified at the cruise captain’s or your guide's discretion.
Embarkation
AM: Welcome onboard the Aliikai! We depart Labuan Bajo to Sebayur Besar and Sebayar Kecil. The remainder of the day is reserved for diving or snorkeling the sights surrounding the islands, beach time, and trekking - if the tide allows.
PM: Return to the boat for a delicious al fresco dinner under the stars.
Gili Banta
AM: Wake to Indonesia's beautiful seascapes. After a relaxing morning and delicious breakfast, we will start our full day of exploring Gili Banta. Our signature beach setup will be waiting for a day of barefoot adventures including diving into some of the amazing sites surrounding the island.
PM: This evening is a special treat to enjoy sundowners and a delicious beach bbq.
Gili Lawa Darat & Laut
AM: Today is dedicated to the islands of Gili Lawa Darat and Gili Lawa Laut.
After a hearty breakfast onboard, we'll head ashore to hike to the lookout for postcard-perfect views of the bay. The rest of the day is yours - relaxing beach time, kayaking, SUP, snorkeling, or diving at one of the fantastic sites surrounding the islands.
PM: Lunch and dinner will be served onboard.
Manta Point, Karang Makassar & Padar
AM: After breakfast on board, we head out to Manta Point and Karang Makassar. Spend the morning snorkeling or diving with the majestic Manta Rays followed by Karang Makassar, a sandbar surrounded by beautiful turquoise water.
Lunch will be served on board as we sail to Padar Island.
PM: This afternoon we stretch our legs as we trek to the top of Padar Island for a scenic view of the surrounding islands. Afterward, we will have time to snorkel or dive.
Enjoy an alfresco dinner that will be served on board.
Pink Beach, Rinca & Kalong
AM: After a relaxing breakfast on the deck, we will step ashore on Pink Beach where we will have time to enjoy relaxing beach time, kayak, SUP, snorkel, and diving.
PM: We will return to the boat for a delicious lunch on board as we set sail to Rinca Island to view the Komodo Dragons. After a short briefing with a park ranger, we will see the dragons in their natural habitat. Afterward, we will return to the boat for dinner and sundowners near Kalong Island.
Disembarkation
AM: After breakfast onboard, the crew will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.
Embarkation
AM: Upon arrival at the Sorong airport, you will be met by Aliikai Voyages and transferred to the harbor, at approx. 20 - minute drive. You’ll have to settle in before we depart Sorong to cruise onward to the islands of Raja Ampat.
PM: Lunch will be served on deck. If time allows, we will stop for snorkeling or try a check dive before serving sundowners to the backdrop of a magnificent sunset. Tonight dinner will be served under the stars.
Kri Peninsula
AM & PM: This morning, you’ll awake to the calls of tropical birds as they, too, are preparing for their day. Mioskon Bay is a spectacular spot where you can snorkel in the mangroves or kayak on mirrored waters along the verdant coastline. Famed for its fish life and coral slopes, the Kripeninsula offers some of the most exquisite underwater vistas in Raja Ampat. Nearby, the island of Mansuar is home to a village where you can head ashore for a glimpse of local culture.
The Passage
AM & PM: Rise at dawn for the best chance of spotting a rare Red Bird of paradise. Your cruise director, Arie, will accompany us on our jungle hike to the bird-watching platform, where we will have the opportunity to view these elusive birds and other aviary species. After breakfast, we will have time to take in the statuesque mushroom islands of Kabui Bay. These islands mark the entrance to a narrow water channel in which strong currents run with each tide, forming a saltwater river with plentiful coral and fish life.
Penemu Island
AM & PM: Today we explore the beautiful Penemu Islands - a cluster of rocky limestone domes draped in lush vegetation. These islets encircle a shallow bay and a walking trail that winds around the rocky hills to a lookout offering a panoramic view of the outlying islands and the ocean beyond. Nearby lies some of the most outstanding snorkeling and diving sites in the area. These nutrient-rich waters are home to a wide array of marine life and intricate coral gardens, including sea turtles, manta rays, and large schools of game fish.
Wayag
AM & PM: The Wayag Islands are an interminable maze of lush green peaks rising from multi-hued azure water - the quintessential landscape of Raja Ampat. Wayag offers a spectacular backdrop for watersports and beach time. Climb the island peak for a panoramic view of turquoise waterways or the ultimate downtime on one of the deserted beaches. Both are ideal spots to view the sun melt into the horizon.
Wofoh
AM & PM: Today we anchor in Wofoh, two islands connected by a shallow reef, the idyllic spot for beachcombing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. Wofoh is also home to a magnificent coral wall that plunges into the crystal blue water offering stunning views of brightly colored sealife darting between barrel sponges and multicolored soft and hard corals.
Disembarkation
AM: After a final decadent breakfast on the deck, our crew will assist you in disembarking Aliikai and transfer you back to the airport to catch your flight home.

AM: Welcome onboard Aliikai Voyage. We start our first day of the cruise exploring the bay of Bima with our crew member Yudi who is originally from here. Local villages and activities will be on the schedule for this first day. Our crew will be hoisting the anchor mid of this afternoon heading east to the islands of Moyo.
PM: Enjoy your first sunset aboard with one of our signature cocktails.
Moyo Island
AM: At dawn, the first sights of Moyo island will appear. The morning will be dedicated to water activities exploring the underwater world of Moyo by snorkeling or diving. Kayaks & Stand Up paddle excursion will also be on the menu.
PM: The rest of the day will be spent exploring the island in search of hidden jungle waterfalls. Come back to the boat for another sunset aboard Aliikai Voyage facing Mt Rinjani on the nearby island of Lombok
Saleh Bay & Satonda
AM: After a short overnight sail, we wake up in Saleh Bay, where whale sharks are often spotted. We will have an up-close encounter with the gentle giants when we dive near fisherman’s platforms. It is a lifetime experience for children and those young at heart!
PM: After this lifetime experience, we are sailing north towards Satonda Island. Satonda Island is an ancient volcano and has a saltwater lake in the middle of the island where you can swim, kayak, or do some stand-up paddleboard.
Sangeang
AM: Today we awake to the view of the towering Sangeang volcano, located off the coast of Sumbawa. Today we explore the island where we will view local shipwrights’ handcraft traditional boats with simple tools and traditional techniques passed down through generations.
PM: This afternoon you have the choice of hiking a rugged volcano or exploring one of the nearby reefs. Hot Rock Reef, suitable for both snorkeling/diving, emits hot gas bubbles up through fissures - a unique underwater experience. We turn to the boat to enjoy dinner and sail to Gili Banta.
Gili Banta
AM: Today we devote the date to exploring and relaxing at Gili Banta. Our crew will set our signature beach camp on a white and pink sand deserted beach where you will enjoy idyllic beach time and water activities. It is the perfect place to try water skiing or snorkeling in the nearby reef.
PM: The day concludes with a beach dinner of grilled fish and other delicacies accompanied by a magnificent sunset
Gili Lawa Darat & Gili Lawa Laut
AM: Welcome to the world-famous Komodo National Park! Today we explore the northern side of the park near the islands of Gili Lawa Darat and Gili Lawa Laut. Home to some of the best dive sites in Indonesia, you will encounter trevally groupers, sweetlips, barracudas, and white-tip reef sharks.
PM: Before sunset, we hike to a ridge to enjoy a spectacular panorama from where we can admire the entire bay and its turquoise waters.
Manta Point & Rinca
AM: This morning we head out to Makassar Reef, better known as Manta Point, where you have an opportunity to swim with the graceful Manta rays. Makassar Reef is a long shallow reef located between the island of Komodo and Tatawa Besar, where the current carries plankton-rich water, the perfect feast for the Mantas.
PM: After lunch, we sail to Rinca Island, where we will spend a few hours trekking the island in search of the legendary Komodo dragons. A local ranger will explain its unique role in the ecosystem and how it came to reside in this part of the world. As dusk sets, we will cruise to Pulau Kalong, where thousands of bats live in the mangrove during the day. As the sun goes down, you will hear the entire island coming to life before they all take the skies heading to Flores Island in search of fruits. A true nature spectacle.

We will spend time diving or snorkeling over the sandy bottom while keeping a lookout for gliding mantas feasting in a wonderous and elegant underwater ballet.
PM: After a delicious lunch on board, we head ashore to explore Arborek village, one of only 18 small villages found throughout Raja Ampat.

AM: After a final decadent breakfast on the deck, our crew will assist you in disembarking Aliikai and transfer you back to the airport to catch your flight home.

Run island - Nelaka Banda island
AM: After a delicious breakfast on board, we head ashore to learn of the Spice Trade’s checkered past and how it influences our modern-day life. We will visit Rumah Besi, an old Dutch warehouse used to process the nutmeg before transport. Afterward, we’ll have a respite from the sun as we walk through a nutmeg plantation towered by 600-year-old Kenari Palms. For those who prefer to spend the day diving, please speak with our Cruise Director, who will arrange your activities throughout the cruise.
PM: The remainder of the day is dedicated to exploring the beautiful underwater world between Neilaka and Run. Return to Aliikai Voyage for an alfresco dinner under the stars.
Ai Island
AM: This morning we will visit the historical sights of Banda Neira, including Fort Belgica, which carefully watched over Banda Neira until being surrendered to the British. We will continue onto the colonial buildings, including the Dutch Reform Church and Museum.
PM: We will return to Aliikai Voyage for lunch on board and time to relax. This afternoon you’ll have time to dive and snorkel the surrounding Island. Later this evening, relax and enjoy on the upper deck for a movie under the stars.
Banda Besar
AM: This morning the boat will sail to Banda Besar while you enjoy breakfast. Afterward, we will visit Fort Hollandia, initially constructed in 1674; it played a critical role in the SpiceTrade and routes. We continue to see modern-day nutmeg harvesting and the opportunity to meet the local inhabitants on the island.
PM: Lunch will be served on board. The afternoon dive and snorkel will visit Batu Hangus North of Gunung Api. This evening relax with your favorite beverage or select a movie to enjoy in our cinema under the stars. - popcorn included.
Hatta and Sahil island
AM: Today enjoy a full day of watersports and relaxation. We’ll visit dive snorkel sights around Hatta and Sahil Islands.
PM: Our crew will arrange the Aliikai Voyage beach setup, including beach loungers, umbrellas, towels, and beverages. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards will also be available.
Pulau Suanggi
AM: This morning we’ll have another opportunity to dive and snorkel Pulau Suanggi, where schools of snappers, Bluefin Trevally, and white tip reef sharks are. Snorkelers will enjoy the island’s fringed reef and its colorful marine life.
PM: Later this afternoon, we will sail to Nusa Laut.
Nusa Laut - Saparua
AM: This morning we’ll visit the dive sights around Nusa Laut, known for its breathtaking hard corals and vibrant marine life.
PM: Late afternoon, if time allows, we will head ashore to visit Duurstede Fort, a key point in the clove trade, then sail back to Tulehu Port. Tonight, we join together for our dinner on board to share memories of your voyage and create new ones.

AM: A new day of discovery awaits at Mansuar Island. This morning the crew transfers you the idyllic snorkeling and diving in waters where have the opportunity to encounter turtles and mantra rays.
PM: In the afternoon, the crew will escort you on shore to visit a local village where we learn of their daily lives in this remote locale. Later this afternoon, we will have time to enjoy sundowners as Aliikai Voyagesail to Batanta
Batanta & Dayang Island
AM: Today we explore the natural beauty of Batanta Island, the smallest of the 4 major islands of Raja Ampat. After breakfast, we embark on an island trek to the northern coast to cool off at two jungle waterfalls. The trek takes us along riverbeds, where we have the chance to spot endemic birds and wildlife.
PM: After lunch, we head to Dayang Island, where we dedicate the afternoon to relaxation and water activities. Enjoy our last Raja Ampatsunset surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest. In the afternoon, Aliikai Voyage embarks on a crossing to Sorong where we will arrive in the night.

Caves & Reefs of Misool

Penemu Island
AM & PM: Today we explore the beautiful Penemu Islands - a cluster of rocky limestone domes draped in lush vegetation. These islets encircle a shallow bay and a walking trail that winds around the rocky hills toa lookout offering a panoramic view of the outlying islands and the ocean beyond. Nearby lies some of the most outstanding snorkeling and diving sites in the area. These nutrient-rich waters are home toa wide array of marine life and intricate coral gardens, including sea turtles, manta rays, and large schools of game fish.
Kri Peninsula
AM: This morning, you’ll awake to the calls of tropical birds as they, too, are preparing for their day. Mioskon Bay is a spectacular spot where you can snorkel in the mangroves or kayak on mirrored waters along the verdant coastline. Famed for its fish life and coral slopes, the Kri peninsula offers some of the most exquisite underwater vistas in Raja Ampat. Nearby, the island of Mansuar is home to a village where you can head ashore for a glimpse of local culture.
PM: In the afternoon, Aliikai Voyage embarks on a crossing to Sorong where we will arrive in the night.

AM: After a final decadent breakfast on the deck, our crew will assist you in disembarking Aliikai and transfer you back to the airport to catch your flight home.

Suanggi & Banda Neira
AM: This morning we will have another opportunity to dive and snorkel Pulau Suanggi, where schools of snappers, Bluefin Trevally, and whitetip reef sharks are. Snorkelers will enjoy the island’s fringed reef and its colorful marine life.
PM: In the afternoon, Banda Neira will arrive in sight. We will head ashore for a visit to the island and be greeted by friendly locals. Welcome the spice islands that used to be the center of the world.
Run Islands, Neilaka & Ai
AM: After a delicious breakfast on board, we head ashore to learn of the spice Trade’s checkered past and how it influences our modern-day life. We will visit Rumah Besi, an old Dutch warehouse used to process the nutmeg before transport.
PM: Afterward, we’ll have a respite from the sun as we walk through a nutmeg plantation towered by 600-year-oldKenari Palms. For those who prefer to spend the day diving, please speak with our cruise Director, who will arrange your activities throughout the cruise. The remainder of the day is dedicated to exploring the beautiful underwater world between Neilaka and Run. Return to Aliikai Voyage for an alfresco dinner under the stars.
Banda Besar
AM: This morning the boat will sail to Banda Besar while you enjoy the breakfast. Afterward, we will visit Fort Hollandia, initially constructed in 1674, it played a critical role in the Spice Trade and routes. We continue to see modern-day nutmeg harvesting and the opportunity to meet the local inhabitants on the island.
PM: Lunch will be served onboard. The afternoon dive and snorkel will visit Batu Hangus North of Gunung Api. This evening relax with your favorite beverage or select a movie to enjoy in our cinema under the stars. – popcorn included
Hatta & Sahil Islands
AM: Today enjoy a full day of watersports and relaxation. We’ll visit dive snorkel sights around Hatta and Sahil Islands.
PM: Our crew will arrange the Aliikai Voyage beach setup, including beach loungers, umbrellas, towels, and beverages. Kayaks and stand-up paddle boards will also be available. End of the afternoon, we’ll start heading east toward the tiny islet of Koon.

AM: Today, we’ll arrive at the tiny island of Koon, to the east of Seram, which is a veritable aquarium for underwater aficionados. Coconut palms dot the island, which is encircled by a blindingly white beach melting into turquoise seas. The coral reef fringing the island is well protected and acts as a haven for fish.

AM: Today, we’ll arrive at the tiny island of Koon, to the east of Seram, which is a veritable aquarium for underwater aficionados. AM: Head a shore to Ai Island, where the ruins of Fort Revenge can still be seen deep in the jungle. We will also cruise to RunIsland –the first British overseas colony. This tiny piece of land was once the subject of a long and bloody conflict between European colonial powers, and was transferred to the Dutch in exchange for New York!
PM: We will explore the island to see the forgotten ruins of old forts, enjoy picnic lunches, and explore the coral wall.
Banda Besar
AM: This morning, head to Banda Besar to see the historical nutmeg plantations –once the most expensive spice in the world. Walk past ancient almond trees and take the opportunity to see how the locals make a living while observing various species of endemic birds.
PM: After lunch, you can do one or two wonderful dives at Batu Kapal, and later visit a small village on Pisang Island, which is surrounded by pristine beaches and beautiful reefs.
Gunung Api
AM & PM: We invite the fit and ambitious to make an early morning ascent of Banda’s Gunung Api volcano. This is perhaps the most famous of the Banda Sea ‘Ring of Fire’ volcanos. First recorded in the 14th century, it last erupted in 1988. While this is a challenging climb up a narrow track to an elevation of about 640 meters, the reward when reaching the top of the ‘Fire Mountain’ is well worth the effort and you can reveal a stunning and unforgettable view.
Banda Neira
AM: Early in the morning, the Banda Islands will emerge on the horizon. This morning you can dive at “BirdR ock” at Suanggi Island, and on arrival at Banda Neira, you can head ashore to the historicalt own. Every building here could be a museum -there are cannons in the front of colonial houses and 17th-century inscriptions on the walls.
PM: You’ll visit the ImpressiveFort Belgica, an old church and a former governor’s palace, a jail, and a local museum.
Saparua & Mamala
AM: Saparua is the largest island in the Lease chain to the east of Ambon. This morning you may head ashore to explore the small town of Saparua and visit the Duurstede Fort, built by the Portuguese in 1676.
PM: While you enjoy lunch back on board, the yacht will sail to Mamala Island, where you can explore underwater sites on the eastern coast, which offers some striking walls with overhangs, inhabited by an array of macro marine life.

AM: After a final decadent breakfast on the deck, our crew will assist you in disembarking Aliikai and transfer you back to the airport to catch your flight home.

AM & PM: Upon arrival at Maumere Airport, you will be met by Aliikai Voyage's crew and transferred to the harbor, at approx. 20-minute drive. Depending on the arrival time, we will assess the possibility of a check dive around Maumere and a potential night dive in the bay.
East Flores
AM: This morning Aliikai Voyage will arrive in Tanjung Gedong, northeast of Flores. The reef slopes down into a sandy area with large coral heads. The beautiful deep sections are decorated with soft corals and large table corals. Reef sharks, groupers, and other encounters are to be expected.
PM: End of the afternoon, we will hoist the anchor for an overnight sail to the island of Komba.
Komba
AM: Komba is an active volcano lying in the Flores Sea. We will be spending the day diving around the island. Itssandy slopes are home to various fish species, nudibranchs, and shells. After the dives, we’ll take you on a tour close to the volcano’s slope to observe eruptions and feel the raw power of mother nature. Eruptions occur every 20 to 30 minutes!
PM: Overnight sail to Alor straight.
Alor Strait
AM & PM: We arrive early morning in Alor strait diving the islands of Solor & Alor. This area offers an incredibly rich biodiversity both on land and underwater. We will be experiencing all types of dives during these 2 days from superb muck dives to magnificent drop-offs with sweeping currents. Pulau Pura & Pulau Ternate offer clear and warm waters with nice coral gardens and huge and diversified marine wildlife. Superb macro has to be observed, especially the shy mandarin fish. An unusual and excellent bonus of exploring this area is the possibility of spotting pilot whales and dolphins from the surface. A lifetime experience. During our time on land, we will go to a local village home of the Abui tribe for a cultural immersion in the life of this traditional village.

AM & PM: Wetar is a large island lying north of Timor. Wild, isolated with untouched landscapes and lush vegetation, dives around Water are not to be missed. Stunning drop-offs and pelagic life are awaiting us!
Damar
AM & PM: Our day will be spent exploring the nearby islands of Damar. Terbang Utara & Terbang Selatan, two small islands lying south of Damarwill offer us easy but very fast drift dives along marvelous coral drop-offs. The island of Nuss Leur is famous for its many pinnacles with numerous schools of colorful fish & pristine coral reefs.
Serua & Nil Desperandum
AM & PM: Today we arrive on these 2 tiny islands lost in the middle of the Banda and see where our quest for hammerhead sharks is beginning. Nil Desperandum takes its name from a stranded ship on the reef. These are the hot spots to come across hammerhead sharks if we are lucky enough.
Gili Manuk
AM & PM: Gili Manuk translated as the “bird island” is often called snake island for the large amount of sea snakes inhabiting the reefs. The drop-offs along its volcanic slopes are filled with amazing sealife. Sharks, Spanish mackerels, tunas, and schools of barracudas are often observed. If we are lucky enough we might even spot schools of hammerhead sharks.
Banda Islands
AM PM: After another overnight crossing, we arrive in the heart of the spice islands, the small archipelago of Banda famous for its nutmeg that us to be worth more than gold. One morning will be spent on-land walking around the village of Banda Neira with our cruise director visiting the local museum, Fort Belgica, and a walk through an old Nutmeg plantation. Most of the dive sites around the Banda islands are wall dives. The walls are covered in massive gorgonians, soft corals, and barrel sponges. Other dive sites are offering pinnacles with large groups of schooling pyramid butterfly fish, triggerfish, and large pelagic fishes such as tuna. Great muck dives will also be on our schedule along the slope of Gunung Api or under a local jetty to spot mandarin fish.
Banda Islands

PM: Depending on our schedule, we will be sailing to the island of Suanggi on our way to Ambon for an additional dive on this pristine and deserted island.
Pulau Suanggi
AM: After an early morning sailing, we will arrive at Pulau Suanggi. An isolated rock was lost in between Ambon and the Banda Neira. Pulau Suanggi offers magnificent drop-off and pristine reefs. Pelagic fishes can be encountered around the island with tunas, reef sharks, and giant trevallies. As a small bonus for bird lovers, many species can be observed around the island, brown boobies, red-footed boobies, and frigate birds.
PM: We will leave Pulau Suanggi at the beginning of the afternoon to make our way back to Ambon.
Disembarkation
AM: This morning, the yacht will approach Alor port. After a final decadent breakfast on the deck, your crew will assist you in disembarking the yacht and transfer you back to the airport to catch your flight home.

Lower Deck Stateroom
Rich in character and cultural décor, two of the three Lower Deck staterooms, Abui and Dayak, are suitable for double occupancy in queen beds, each featuring one of the hull's delightful tapered wooden walls complete with ocean views from porthole windows. Both are fitted with ensuite bathrooms, wardrobes, and remote AC.
Lower Deck Family Stateroom
One of three lower deck staterooms, the Family suite Asmat is similarly equipped with porthole windows, private bathroom, air-conditioning and ample storage space. Located at the bow, this cabin has a unique shape allowing an additional sofa that can be transformed into a single bed – ideal for children – allowing for triple occupancy.
Upper Deck Stateroom
With large windows and a privileged position on the Upper Deck, the bright and airy Upper Deck Staterooms Savu and Koon afford beautiful seascape views and boast king-size beds that can be converted into two singles separated by a wooden divider if desired. Both feature ensuite bathrooms, wardrobes, and remote AC.
Owners Suite
Bathed in light and boasting incredible sea views right from your king-size bed (which can be split into two singles if desired), Aliikai has two remarkable master suites, rightly worthy of the 'Owners' moniker. Both are located at the aft of the vessel, Kei on the Upper and Fam on the Main Deck, and each features panoramic picture windows and a floor-to-ceiling sliding door leading onto a large rear-facing private terrace.
