Bolaven Plateau & Pakse Laos Tours
Just east of Pakse City, the wondrous Bolaven Plateau is one of southern Laos’ most scenic areas, so prized for its fertile fields that French colonials introduced coffee cultivation here in the 19th century; today farmers produce the finest grade Robusta coffee beans in Laos. Yet due to its remote location and lack of coverage, this lush expanse of forests and mountains imbued with refreshingly cool climes, doesn’t get the recognition it truly deserves.
Bolaven Plateau tours offer fascinating activities, extending from visiting tea and coffee plantations and colorful ethnic markets to elephant treks and spotting wildlife in national parks. A former Indochina hub, Pakse is ideal for tours to surrounding waterfalls, especially Tad Fane twin falls, the tallest in Laos and a masterpiece of nature.
